Lets sneak in one more

Hello Coalition,

Sorry for the lack of communication as of late and of the minimal Wednesday evening riding opportunities. I was needed as a result of an accident that fortunately ended with a positive outcome and I am just now getting back to Alberta. Conditions have miraculously held out in the hills and it looks like a night riding op exists for tomorrow evening. 5 from Bowness or 5:30 at Ings an email heads up is necessary. Maybe we can get out a couple more times before the season starts to dwindle below the fun zone.

Cheers,

Reg

To the mountains

It's looking like we should be AOK for a ride tonight. Conditions at Moose currently don't seem as satisfactory as out in the Bow valley. Considering, I have only received confirmation from 3 of you so far, I suggest we hit up a big bike Prairie View Jewell or Razors Edge mission. Bowness at 5, an email heads up is appreciated.

Lets ride,

Reg

Uncertain for tonight

Troops,

It is supposed to clear up this afternoon out at Moose, if that is the case, we should be good to go for tonight. I will be keeping tabs on the Moose web cam and if the trails get a chance to dry up and it's not raining much we should easily be dropping in on some tacky goodness this evening.

I will make the call at 2 this afternoon. Please look to the blog to confirm that tonight is a go at that time. In the mean time an email heads up is much appreciated.

Last week we kept our 5 lap streak running and had our first lap of the year with lights. I almost forgot how much fun night riding can be. Hope to see y'all tonight!

Cheers,

Reg

No democracy tonight!

Fall beautiful fall! It's looking like a wonderful night to be out in the hills this evening.

Tonight, everyone gets the opportunity to bowl a perfect game as our new best friend has volunteered to drive us this evening. That's right, no stoke smashing shuttle hit driving required. A small gift, as a token of your appreciation would not go astray for the fallen rider who has volunteered for the evening. I hear he likes borrowing movies on DVD. If we treat him right than maybe he might be available for a couple more ride nights.

5 lap minimum. Have lights bring lights situation. With efficiency, I think we can still snag 4 laps in the light. 5 in Bowness, 5:50 at Ing's mine. Van leaves Ing's at 6 on the nose. An email heads up is required.

See you tonight!

Weather probs

Its looking like conditions tonight are not conducive to riding without causing undue erosion to the trails at Moose. Tonight's ride is canceled. Low temps and rain are not a good combo. If I didn't have obligations tomorrow evening, I would switch tonight's ride to Thursday but no can do.

The weather is looking great for this wknd, so go get it. It's time to charge!

Go ride,

Reg

At least it's been nice on the weekends

Hey troops,

Last week was an amazing evening of riding. Our 5 lap streak is still going strong and we still haven't pulled out our lights yet. Yah team!

The weather doesn't seem to be aligning this week. I was thinking of making a game time decision tomorrow to see if things will be a go. The current forecast isn't looking the best but anything could happen. Tune in and I will update the blog by noon tomorrow to inform. Fingers crossed!

Cheers,

Reg

Summer revival

Troops,

Last weeks ride night was a lesson on efficiency and fun at Moose mtn. 5 laps in the light obtained with a little time to spare and with the potential for a tighter ship this week we should easily be in the running for another 5 lap'r evening in the light. 5 in Bowness 5:59 at Ing's mine.

As always an email heads up is appreciated.

Great to see that summer seems to be sticking around for a wee bit longer. Go get it!

Cheers,

Reg

Time to give back and ride a little.

Hello Troops,

Last week was a gem of a night out in the hills. 5 laps easily obtained and it was so nice to re-connect with our local treats and get the flow and jive going as a group again.

This week the Coalition night aligns with an MMBTS trail night. An opportunity to put some sweat equity as a group back into the trails and to help build good karma for the remainder of the Coalition season. Bonus points for members making the effort! We will ride, I was thinking of one quick lap previous to the trail day and then a final lap on some new buffness post trail night. We will conquer some diggy progress on the bottom of SHAFT, as it is still in some need of finishing.

5 in Bowness, 6 at Ing's mine. An email heads up is appreciated!

This weather as of late has been just plain blissful. Hopefully, you have all been making circles roll.

Cheers,

Reg

Back in action

Peeps, I am just back from vacation and itching to get some saddle time on my DH bike. Tomorrow evening is a go, 5 in Bowness, or 6 at ING's mine P-lot. An email or comment heads up is required. Lets get a good groove going here for the rest of the summer.

Cheers,

Reg

Downhill Wednesdays

Troops,

Last weeks pursuit in the hills was yet again a gravity fulfilling evening. Our group is growing but 5 laps were still easily achieved as we are embracing efficiency and evolving into proper shuttling form. Good times on the likes of SHAFT, T-dub x2, JG on the rocks, Toothless and a trip down Old school lane with a top to bottom SLF mission. Amen, to democracy and bowling a perfect game for me last week. I am sure my luck is about to run out but it sure is nice only having to drive the van on the way up.

The weather is looking a little skeptical for this evening. I was thinking it best to approach this evening as a go but to wait until later this afternoon to make the final call. If you are down for coming tonight ensure to fire me off an email or comment below. I will be making the call at 3 and if it's not to soggy we should be good to go. I will state if we are canceled here on the blogs comments at 3 this afternoon.

Come on sunshine,

Reg

The bar has been set!

For our first evening as a group for 2011 last week we sure managed to step it up and set a good precedent on this season. 5 laps with ample light and good times had by all. Trails on the hit list included; JG on the rocks x2, Toothless, T-dub and the new trail SHAFT.

It's a go for tomorrow evening! An email or comment on the blog heads up is much appreciated. 5 in Bowness or 6 at Ing's Mine P-lot.

Go ride,

Reg

2011 lets ride!

Hello Out there,

Sorry for the delay on getting this years Coalition season rolling. Hopefully, we can make up for it in the fall like last year. Conditions to the West have only just now started to truly dry up and our trails are just now waiting with open arms for countless Wednesday evening laps. It's go time!

Some Mike Morley pics from a Solstice Alpine night this week to help get you in the celebrating bikes mood!

I am unsure on how many of you shredders have signed up for this year's Coalition, so if you could please fire me off an email or leave a comment on the ole bloggy here that would be most greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at regmullett@hotmail.com. Tentative first ride night is Wednesday the 29th, meet in Bowness for 5:00 or out at Moose mtn at Ing's mine for 6:00.

Stoked to ride with y'all. The Coalition has always been a super fun group that really likes to take advantage of time playing on our bikes. All are welcome! If you haven't already signed up and are interested ensure to stop by Calgary cycle and solidify a great weekly night out in the hills. There is a fee that covers insurance costs and you get a t-shirt and a shop discount included. We normally split gas costs from shuttling but it rarely is more than 10 bucks a night for a seat in the pil shuttle van.

Hello Summer,

Reg
